C-IT, Centre for IT Services, is a Non-Government, Non-profit Organisation established in 1999 by IT professionals to promote ICT for Education, Employment and Empowerment. C-IT’s commitment is to leverage the benefit of IT for empowering and serving the Rural, Under Privileged and Weaker Sections of the Society. C-IT's objectives are; to bridge the Digital Divide by providing and creating environment for ICT usage for Social Development, Particularly in Villages; Promoting Model ICT Application projects, which are Replicable for Massive Deployment in Rural Sector; Providing ICT Tools for Capacity Building and Empowerment of NGOs, SHGs, SMEs, Rural Financial Institutions, Government and Local Bodies; Providing affordable and Cost Effective ICT Solutions and Services for e-Governance; Creating new Employment Opportunities by Developing knowledge workers from Marginalized, Weaker Sections and Unemployed youth; Developing Global Partnerships for ICT Application Design and Development towards Empowerment of Poor through ICT Tools and Techniques.
